Secret Families

This week is ward conference and we were given families to do fun things for all week. Our family was awesome and did nice things for all of us every day. This morning I was heading outside when I saw all the eggs on the lawn. The kids had a early Easter egg hunt. Every time we hear the doorbell the kids ran outside as fast as they could but we never caught them. We were completely surprised who our family ended up being.
We also had a family and we got busted the second day. The kids and I were in front of their house getting ready to drop the package off when they drove up. Katie was bummed but I told her they would still like their gifts even if they new who it was who gave them. It was fun to do nice things for others.

Katie's Party

Katie turns 7 on Monday and we had her party tonight. Her best friend Jackie and her family came over. After cake and presents we played cards while the kids hung out. Katie got a barbie, a fancy purse, a shirt, fleece, make up, and Goonies. I think she will like the movie. It was one of my favorite growing up. Today we went to see New Moon at the dollar theatre. My friend Kristen came with Katie, Mom and me. It is fun when your kids grow up and can do more fun things.
This last week we were all sick. Billy started, then Johnny and Ellie, them Katie and me and then Todd. I haven't been sick in such a long time and I was miserable. It was wonderful having Mom here to watch the kids and make meals. The weather had been in the 50's and it feels like spring. I hope it lasts as long as possible. Oh and Ellie finally fell down the stairs. She is OK though. I still felt awful.

Monster Jam

We headed to Salt Lake for Monster Jam. Todd got to race his jumping truck. Because of this we got free tickets into both Saturday's shows. For the racers there is a pre qualifier before each and the top 8 get to race in the show. Todd got 7th in the afternoon show and was able to race the first race. For the second show he didn't make it into the show because he fish tailed around the first turn. So he got to come enjoy the show with us. Before the shows we got to go meet the drivers of the monster trucks and motorcycles. Katie's favorite was Madusa. My favorite was Monster Mut. The boys liked Grave Digger. The first thing Johnny said when we saw the truck was, "We have that truck at our house". Johnny also loved the motorcycles. They are amazing to watch! We had a great time. It is fun watching Todd do something he enjoys. It was a challenge keeping ear plugs in Ellie's ears but she did pretty good. Tabitha's truck broke on Friday's race so we didn't get to see her race and she was pretty bummed.

Potty Training

So we have been trying to get Johnny potty trained and it has been difficult. He just didn't want to go on the potty. On Tuesday I was at target and bought him some Diego underwear. He was so excited to wear them. So we spent a whole day potty training. It was a long day and I spent a lot of time washing underwear but he was doing great by nighttime. The next morning I took him potty right when he woke up and the rest of the day he told me every time he had to go and stayed completely dry. Now five days later he hasn't had any accidents. I am very proud of him and very happy! Only one more to go:)
Todd fixed my new jeep. I got to take it for a drive. The kids were excited to go for a drive. I love it! Ellie is now pulling herself up to stand. She is growing up so fast! She is eating all regular food. She won't eat the baby food. She makes feeding easy. I am blessed to have such a great family!

Lost Teeth

Katie finally lost her two front bottom teeth. The adult teeth had already started to grow in behind them. She was tough and let Grandma knock them out. On Tuesday Katie, Billy, and Johnny went to the dentist for their sixth month checkup. And NO cavities:) Well Katie has one small one on her front baby tooth that would come out in the next sixth months so it doesn't need to be fixed:) However the dentist talked with me and we decided the best thing to do is to pull the two front side teeth so the front adult teeth will move forward. I hope all future dentist appointments are like this. That means a lot of brushing teeth! Ellie now has a total of four teeth coming in.
We had a pretty busy month. I had a couple FRG meetings, Todd went back to work full time :( and I started working out again. It is time to get rid of the baby fat! The kids are great. Katie got another gold ticket at school. I am proud of her. She is also really enjoying her dance class. Johnny really likes to box on the Wi. And Billy is still drawing every chance he can get. Ellie is finally mobile. She has started crawling and is a much happier baby. It was also in the 40's and 50's this week so it was great!

Billy's Outing

The day that Todd, Katie, and I went skiing Typhena and Jesse took their girls and Billy to the dinosaur museum. Billy had a great time and here are some cute pictures!
