Stitches

Ellie got three stitches tonight. She and Johnny was playing with a tape measure and it cut her finger. I finally got it stopped bleading but it was still wide open so I took her in. She didn't cry much but didn't like the doctor and nurse. She kept saying bye bye to them cause she wanted to leave. Overall though she did great.

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had fun finding eggs. It was cold again this year. Saturday night I went downstairs to get the eggs to fill and couldn't find them. Searched for over an hour. Luckily I found someone (Beth Miller) at church who had some eggs and she brought them to church. The kids kept asking when the Easter Bunny was going to bring eggs and I kept stalling. Finally I just told Katie that I was the Easter Bunny and she was excited to help fill the eggs and then distract the boys while we put them outside. They were cute when finding them. Ellie thought it was fun. She was giggling every time she picked up an egg. I love my kids!

The Sand Dunes

After we were done at the Alligator farm we headed for the sand dunes. We stopped and had lunch at a picnic area and the hiked to the sand dunes. It was alittle windy but it was sunny and still nice. It was relaxing. I was able to take some pictures am then just hand out while watching the kids. there was no where for them to get away too and even Ellie was entertained playing in the sand. we even had races rolling down one of the dunes. Billy got buried up to his head and enjoyed it so much wanted to do it again so we did. It is nice going somewhere fun with friends!
After the sand dunes we headed back to the hotel. We all put on our swimming suits and went to the water park again. I didn't get any pictures but we had fun! Had pizza for dinner, put young kids to bed, and played a game while the older kids watched cartoons and played cards. we have had so much fun and now we need to get ready to head home tomorrow.

The Alligator Farm

The Alligator farm was free today so that is the main reason we headed down to Alamosa. We all packed into the car and headed down. The kids had a blast. I even have to admit that I did too. One of the coolest things was watching the kids holding a snake and an alligator. Even Ellie wanted to do it. Then the kids got to feed the alligators which they really liked doing. It was an adventure and a fun one at that! The pictures speak for themselves:)

Alamosa Here We Come

A few friends and I planned a trip to Alamosa this weekend. We reserved rooms at a hotel that has a water park and is close to sand dunes and an alligator farm. We left around 3pm and drove almost three hours to get there. We checked into our hotel and then went exploring. After eating dinner we took the kids to the water park until they closed. The kids loved it. Jeff took the kids down the water slide. We came back to the room and got some little kids to bed in the adjoining room. Then the adults had fun playing cards till about 11pm when we put all the kids to bed and then went to bed ourselves. What fun!

Spring Break

I was glad for Spring Break this year. Not only is it a break for the kids it is also one for me. We packed up and headed to Manti for the week. We stayed at Typhena and Jesse's and the kids loved spending time with Alexis and Lacie. The weather was a little chilly but we were still able to have some fun. We went bowling with Grandma, Grandpa, and Tabitha, and of course went out to a few of my favorite places to eat. We went to the pool at Gunnison for the first time. They have two pools and the smaller one is nice for little kids. the kids wore life jackets (even Ellie) and we had fun. The weather wasn't great for the following weekend so I planned to stay a couple extra days. Sunday the 27th was Jesse and Ty's anniversary so they were going to get away. I left for church with all the kids and she ended up rushing to the ER. She had placenta abruption. Because of that and since the baby was breach an ambulance drove her to Provo and they did an emergency c-section. TJ (for Typhena and Jessa since it was their anniversary that he was born on) came 5 weeks early and weighed 4lbs 8ounces. We all took a trip up to Provo in Monday to visit. He is so cute! And so little. We went to El Azteca for lunch (wish we had one here). Todd's mom wasn't feeling well and it is hard to see her sick, but she is slowly getting better. Hopefully she will be back to normal this coming summer when we go back and visit. Johnny cried when we left. I had to keep reminding him that we would see him soon. Both drives were good. Not much traffic and the kids did so well for being in the car so long.
