New Family Pic and its a Girl!

Katie and Billy needed a family picture for primary so we finally got around to taking a new one. All three kids are even smiling which is amazing:)And today I had another ultrasound. We are having a girl:) Katie is very excited. The first thing she did when we told her was that she gets to have a bunk bed now. We are making bunk beds for the boys and Katie wanted one too but we told her that if the baby was a boy she would just get a regular bed. But if it was a sister then she would get bunk beds. So she is in seventh heaven. It is nice to know for sure. I am looking forward to another girl. She is about 4 pounds right now. Katie mentioned that now we will be equal. 3 boys and 3 girls.

Hiking

Todd and Katie both had Monday off so we went hiking at red rock park. It was a bit windy but other then that it was great. We hiked about two miles and even Johnny hiked almost all of it. It was his first big hike. It is a great start for him. I felt good too. Red Rock is fun because there are a lot of rocks so the kids and Todd got to climb them. They are also pretty! So here are some pictures of our fun hike.

Katie's Birthday

Katie turned 6 on the 8th. We had her birthday party on Saturday. She invited a few friends (plus some of my cub scouts as we worked on pinewood derby cars after). Sometimes it seems like yesterday that she was born. She seems so grown up. We had a Scooby Doo party. Mom and I made a Scooby Doo cake. It turned out ok. It tasted great though. Katie had a fun time. She loves people. She got some good stuff too. Daddy got her an MP3 player (just a 10$ one) and put a bunch of songs on it for her. Grandma got her a bunch of girly stuff and I got her Mario Party for the DS. It was a fun day.

Big Boy Beds

We are making the boys bunk beds. They aren't done yet but we bought the mattresses. So we set them up in their room on the floor until we finish the bunk beds. For Johnny that meant that he is no longer in a crib. He has been doing great too. Both Billy and Johnny were excited with the beds. And they seem to be playing more together which is fun to see. We have most of the bed done. Now we just have to do the sanding and the staining. Then put the pieces back together.
